Healthy Androscoggin is looking for an energetic community-minded individual to continue to lead the Let’s Go obesity prevention initiative in Androscoggin County. The position will be recruited through the AmeriCorps VISTA program, which places volunteers in service positions across the country and the position will be housed at Healthy Androscoggin in Lewiston. The VISTA program provides a small living stipend and educational award, training opportunities and other benefits – for a full list of benefits, please see the attached position description.
The successful VISTA will work with community members to build broad based support for the Let’s Go 5-2-1-0 program; increase volunteer capacity and begin program implementation in schools and other sectors. The VISTA will also create program sustainability and coordinate baseline, process and outcome evaluation to prove initiative successes.
