‘Twas a chilly January day when Let’s Go! director Dr. Victoria Rogers announced a video and photo contest. She challenged the Let’s Go! community partners to bring Let’s Go! and 5-2-1-0 to life visually by sharing what’s happening in the community through a video or photo. Videos and photos would be judged by how well the Let’s Go! story was conveyed, the number of Let’s Go! programs represented, and innovation and creativity. To sweeten the deal, Dr. Rogers announced a $500 prize for the video winner and a $250 prize for the photo winner.
Nine months later on a steamy September day, the winners were unveiled at the annual Let’s Go! kick off. Let’s Go! Waldo took home the prize for best video with RSU 20 Searsport Summer Program’s 5-2-1-0 Lipdub production and Grasshopper Academy brought in the prize for Let’s Go! Aroostook with a series of photos.
